Send In Your Proposal For Gallery Exhibitions

The Spokane Art School/Center for the Visual Arts is seeking proposals from Inland Northwest artists and curators for exhibitions at the school gallery, 920 N. Howard.

“The gallery is an important facet of the school’s mission to educate and stimulate the community,” said Maureen Davidson. For more information, contact Davidson at 328-0900.

Auditions

Rogue Players will hold auditions for Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” at 7 p.m. March 12 and 13 at the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt.

Four men and four women are needed. Scripts are available for a $5 deposit from Dean Bethmann, Peyton Building, 10 N. Post, Suite 645, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Auditions for “An Evening of Absurdist Theatre” will be at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday in North Idaho College’s Boswell Hall. The department’s spring production will feature two absurd plays, “The Bald Soprano,” directed by Jack Green, and “The Dumbwaiter,” directed by Al Potts.

Auditions for a new musical group, the Spokane British Brass Band, sponsored by Windermere Real Estate, will be held in April by conductor Michael Warner.

Spokane artist made Next Stop

Tom O’Day, Spokane artist and art teacher at Spokane Falls Community College, was featured in a show titled, “Next Stop: An Art Disposal Multi-Media Installation.”

The solo exhibition was held at the Art Gallery of California State University, Northridge.

O’Day is best known for his installations made from art objects that have been altered by natural and artificial forces.
