10-K Walk Will Raise Funds For Habitat For Humanity

Habitat for Humanity-Spokane is sponsoring a 10-K walkathon fund-raiser Sunday afternoon.

A family-oriented event, the walk will start at the Intercollegiate Center for Nursing Education, 2917 W. Fort Wright Drive, and follow the Centennial Trail.

Registration and opening ceremonies are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., with the walk to start at 2 o’clock.

Participants can solicit sponsorships from friends and co-workers or go it alone.

Those walkers who raise $100 or more will receive special “Hoof it for Habitat” T-shirts.

This is the fifth year for the walkathon, an important annual fund-raising effort for the local nonprofit group.

Habit for Humanity works with people in need to help provide adequate housing.
