Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Like so many others, I’m tired of stooping and pulling everything out of my refrigerator to get to items in the back. For years, I have used turntables in my cupboards, linen closet and on shelves.

It finally occurred to me that they would be perfect for the shelves in my refrigerator, especially for the small items that I don’t have room for on the door shelves.

I shop garage sales faithfully and found several for as little as a quarter. I can’t believe it took me all these years to figure that one out. - Patty Hayes, Nashville, Tenn.

Dear Heloise: I tie a loose knot in any stained garment before putting it in the laundry hamper. That way, I never miss a piece that needs special attention before putting it in the water.- Nancy Dowdy, Blacksburg, Va.
