Honors Scholarship Given To Ewu’s Jennifer Heckler

Jennifer Heckler received a $1,500 Academic Honors Scholarship from Eastern Washington University, where she participates in the University Honors program.

Heckler, daughter of Kathleen and Thomas Heckler, is a 1995 graduate of Rogers High School.

Several Inland Northwest students were named to the dean’s list for spring semester at Linfield College in McMinville, Ore. To qualify students must be in the top 10 percent of their class.

The students, their year in college last spring and their home towns are:

Natasha Tobias, a sophomore from Pullman.

Frank Lynch, a sophomore from Ritzville.

Brian Lawrence, a sophomore from Royal City, Wash.

Jessica Leuthold, a sophomore from Spokane.

Kathleen Bresnahan was named to the dean’s list for spring semester at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, where she is majoring in management information systems and business.

She is the daughter of Jim and Pauline Bresnahan and a 1994 graduate of Ferris High School.

Jennifer Wilson, Chattaroy, received a master’s of science degree in zoology from Washington State University in August. She received the Health and Wellness Public Service Award and was a member of Mortar Board National Honor Society.

She is the daughter of Barbara and Melvin Wilson and a 1990 graduate of Riverside High School.

Global Credit Union awarded $500 Merle E. Brumgard Memorial Scholarships to Steven Groke, a graduate of Medical Lake High School, and Darcy Ruemping, of Ferris High School.

Groke will attend the University of Portland; Ruemping will attend the University of Washington.

Marisa Neste, University High School, and Sumittra Shadduck, Gonzaga Prep., each received a $500 Mary Milla Scholarship from the credit union.

Neste is attending Seattle Pacific University; Shadduck attends Tulane University.

Zachariah Ventress, Spokane, was named to the dean’s list at Providence (R.I.) College, for spring quarter. He is majoring in management.
