Jeanie (Grant) Anderson Spokane
Memorial service for Jeanie Marion (Grant) Anderson, 90, is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverview Retirement Home Chapel. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Anderson, who died Feb. 3, was born in Seattle.
She graduated from the University of Washington with an education degree and taught at Cashmere (Wash.) High School.
In 1931, she married Harold Anderson in Seattle.
During World War II, Mrs. Anderson worked in real estate and in an insurance office in Cashmere. In 1943, she moved her family to Albuquerque, N.M., where her husband was stationed in the military. After the war, they returned to Cashmere.
Her husband retired and in 1985 they moved to Spokane.
Her husband died last November Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Anderson Roffler and a son, David Anderson, both of Spokane; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the American Red Cross.
Jack Stegall Spokane
No local service will be held for Jack D. Stegall, 77. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stegall, who was born in Shaw, Miss., died Tuesday.
He had been a civil engineer with the Army Corps of Engineers for many years and retired in 1965.
He had lived in Spokane for the last 11 years.
Mr. Stegall is survived by a son, Jack Stegall Jr. of Spokane; two daughters, Fern Elliott of Spokane and Diane Boettcher of Annapolis, Md.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Stephen Baker Seattle
Memorial service for Stephen Michael Baker, 27, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. American Memorial Funeral Home in Seattle is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Baker died Saturday in a motorcycle accident.
He was born in Missoula and graduated from Mead High School and Western Washington University with a marine biology degree.
He is survived by his parents, Mary Beth and Richard Baker of Spokane; a sister, Jeanne Flahiff of Seattle; and his girlfriend, Sheri VandeKerk.

Warren Carr Spokane
Memorial service for Warren S. Carr, 73, is planned for 1 p.m. Friday at Fowler United Methodist Church. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Carr, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Monday.
He attended North Central High School. During World War II, he worked as a machinist preparing wartime equipment.
In 1959 he and a partner formed the Spokane and Northwest Building Maintenance Co. He worked as a highrise window cleaner until his retirement in 1979.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Helen; a stepson, John Snyder of Spokane; two brothers, Marvin Carr of Spokane and Robert Carr of San Diego; and two granddaughters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Humane Society or the Union Gospel Mission.
Edward Mason Everett
Visitation for Edward J. Mason, a former Spokane resident, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville, Wash. Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Mason, who died Monday, was born on his family’s homestead in the Blanchard Township in northeast Washington. He was 95.
He retired as a licensed stationary steam engineer for Brewer Lumber Co. in Spokane. He had also worked as a forester.
He moved to Snohomish County nine years ago.
Mr. Mason is survived by his companion of 30 years, Mavis Browing; a son, Gerald Mason of Arlington, Wash.; two daughters, Pat Roberts of Marysville and Judy Grotle of Everett; a brother, Basil Mason of Spokane; a sister, Glady Reid of Walla Walla; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Marvin Henshaw Spokane
Service for Marvin A. Henshaw, 92, is set for 11 a.m. Friday at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Born in Leeds, Iowa, Mr. Henshaw died Tuesday.
He had lived in Spokane for 60 years and worked as an engineer for the Paulsen Building.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a Golden Eagle member of Eagles Lodge No. 2.
His wife, Amanda Henshaw, died last September.
Mr. Henshaw is survived by a daughter, Mary Ollila of the Spokane Valley; three sons, Howard Henshaw of Sedro Woolley, Wash., and James and Edward Henshaw, both of Spokane; two sisters, Vera Perrett of Arkansas and Iris Fehrman of Minnesota; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

David Anderson Waukon, Wash.
Visitation for David N. Anderson, 94, is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral HomeCheney. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Reardan (Wash.) Cemetery.
Born in Waukon, Mr. Anderson died Monday.
He was a farmer and was a member of the Reardan Masonic Lodge No. 146, Elks Lodge No. 228, Davenport Odd Fellows and was a charter member of Waukon Grange.
His wife, Martha Anderson, died in 1973.
He is survived by a brother, Norman Anderson of Reardan; and a sister, Lavina Swanson of Medical Lake.
Janet (Hiser) Galloupe Spokane
Memorial service for Janet R. (Hiser) Galloupe, 59, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South.
Mrs. Galloupe, who died Sunday, was born in Camas, Wash.
She had lived in Bellingham and Vancouver, Wash., and came to Spokane in 1983.
She worked as a nurses aide in Bellingham and Spokane.
Mrs. Galloupe is survived by three daughters, Sharon Nevue of Port Angeles, Wash., and Brenda Baldwin and Debbie Moore, both of Spokane; a son, Dana Moore of Spokane; her companion, Ted Wasson of Spokane; her mother, Nancy Potts of Ocean Park, Wash.; a brother, Walter Flager of Vancouver; four sisters, Fern Ham of Seattle, Jimmie Potts of Ocean Park, and Henrietta Potts and Nancy Flager, both of Vancouver; and seven grandchildren.
Nellie Roskam Spokane
Service for Nellie Roskam, 96, will be at 2 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Private burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Roskam, who died Saturday, was born in New Auburn, Wis.
She came to Spokane as a child, and had worked as a waitress and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Women of the Moose.
Her husband, Harry Roskam, died in 1968.
Mrs. Roskam is survived by a son, Alfred Palmer of Seattle; a daughter, Adele Stone of Spokane; a sister, Fay Kautz of Spokane; 11 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren and several great-great-great-grandchildren.

Laura Knudson Spokane
Service for Laura E. Knudson, 94, will be at 1 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park.
Miss Knudson, who died Friday, was born in Portland.
She had lived in Spokane for more than 90 years and had owned a medical lab in the ONB Building and a local hearing aid company. Survivors include a niece, Barbara Skatrud of California.
Virginia Harrison Spokane
Memorial service for Virginia Harrison, 74, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lakeland Village in Medical Lake. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is charge of cremation.
Miss Harrison had lived at Lakeland Village since she was a child and then in an adult care facility.
There are no known survivors.
Ruth Evans Spokane
Memorial service for Ruth Adair Evans, 70, is set for noon Friday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.
Mrs. Evans, who died Sunday, was born in Spokane and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School.
She was a vocalist with the Hal Eastberg, Arthur Zepp Orchestra and sang at the Elks Lodge for many years. During World War II she sang with the USO at Fort George Wright. After the war, she sang on the Lanny Ross Radio Show and other radio shows in New York.
Mrs. Evans also sang with the Serenades on KHQ radio in Spokane and made various jingles for the Spokane Area Sound Recording Company.
She was a member of Deer Park Eagles Lodge No. 3564.
Her husband, Glen Evans, died in 1992.
Mrs. Evans is survived by two sons, Randal Kindya of Spokane and Barry Evans of Deer Park; and two grandchildren.
John Stantus Spokane
Vigil service for John J. Stantus, 93, is planned for 7 p.m. today at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Paschal Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rathdrum (Idaho) Cemetery.
Mr. Stantus, who died Monday, was born in St. Charles, Ill.
He graduated from Northern Illinois State College and the University of Illinois.
He had lived in Spokane for more than 50 years and was a schoolteacher for District 81.
He was a member of St. Paschal Catholic Church and the American Association of Retired Persons.
His wife, Betty Stantus, died in 1991.
Mr. Stantus is survived by four sons, David Stantus of Bellevue, Wash., Daniel Stantus of Thailand, Mark Stantus of Spokane and Paul Stantus of Libby, Mont.; a daughter, Anne Madrid of Tracy, Calif.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Vera Fry Spokane
Visitation for Vera Fry, 80, is scheduled from noon to 9 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Fry, who was born in Sandpoint, died Monday.
She had lived in Spokane for 53 years and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Shadle Park Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, Fred Fry, died in 1983.
Mrs. Fry is survived by two daughters, Sandy Bushnell and Tammy Bassett, both of Spokane; and four grandchildren.

Laura (Somerville) Doric Spokane
Memorial service for Laura C. (Somerville) Doric, 89, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery. Private entombment will follow. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Doric, who died Sunday, was born in Barnesville, Minn.
She attended North Central High School and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Doric.
Mrs. Doric is survived by a daughter, Lois Campbell; two brothers, Wayne and Charles Somerville, both of Spokane; two sisters, Janet Loosemore of Pleasanton, Calif., and Ruth Bray of Palm City, Fla.; four granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.

Byron Pierce Spokane
Memorial service for Byron F. Pierce, 86, will be at 10 a.m. today at River View Terrace Chapel. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at LaCrosse (Wash.) Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pierce, who died Saturday, was born in Pampa, Wash., and was raised in the LaCrosse area.
He attended Washington State College for a year and a half and left college to work at his father’s grocery store in LaCrosse. He operated the store until he retired in 1976.
In 1942, he married Dorothy Snow in LaCrosse and in 1989 they moved to Spokane from LaCrosse.
Mr. Pierce was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bob Pierce of Auburn, Wash.; a daughter, Pam Landel of Upper Saddle River, N.J.; three brothers, Eugene and Max Pierce, both of Spokane, and Donald Pierce of Sequim, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.

Edith Mae Gram Spokane
Service for Edith Mae Gram, 84, was Sunday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Interment was at Oakdale Cemetery in Glendora, Calif.
Born in Newfolden, Minn., Mrs. Gram died last Thursday.
She was a 27-year resident of Spokane and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Alfred, died in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Gram of Spokane; two daughters, Gwendolyn Hood of Alma, Ark., and Edythe Hansen of Covina, Calif.; a sister, Winnie Brack of Spokane; eight grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.
