Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: While we were on a long road trip to Utah, our tissue box ran out.

As we weren’t near any stores at the moment, we took a roll of toilet paper and pulled out the cardboard tube in the center. Then, as we used the paper, we pulled it out from the center. You can pull as much as you want, then rip it off. This doesn’t take up as much room as a tissue box and it’s less expensive. - Sarah Storti, Dunlap, Ill.

This is a good hint, especially during cold season. Glad you wrote. - Heloise
