‘Open All Nite’ Tour Offers Christian Variety

It’s rock ‘n’ roll, it’s hip hop, it’s pop.

And it’s all Christian music.

The “Open All Nite” tour featuring three Christian bands with a variety of musical stylings arrives at The Met tonight.

Sponsored by Spokane’s People for Christ Ministry, these bands use contemporary music as a means to spread the word of God.

“I have a true relationship with Christ and a growing friendship and that’s what I want to write about,” says Steve Wiggins, singer/songwriter for the Memphis-based band Big Tent Revival. “I want to tell them who I am and what I believe.”

Big Tent Revival, an acoustic guitar-driven rock band, headlines the show. Tammy Trent, an R&B/ pop artist, opens, followed by Out of Eden, an all-woman hip hop trio. Out of Eden was nominated for a Dove Award last year - the Christian counterpart to the Grammys.

“I want people to look at me, listen to the music and be able to see what God is doing,” Trent says. “I don’t want to shove Jesus down people’s throats, but I definitely want them to know that He’s the answer.”

The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $14 for general admission, $17 for golden-circle seating.
