Us Weekly to Britney: don’t have a cash cow, man

THE VEIL HAS BEEN lifted on Britney Spears’ honeymoon, and she’s none too happy about it. Photos of Spears and her husband, Kevin Federline, are on the cover of the new Us Weekly magazine under the headline: “Britney’s Private Album!”

Other pictures of the couple’s October honeymoon in the Fiji islands are displayed inside.

Spears quickly issued a statement condemning the use of the photographs, taken by resort staffers for a “scrapbook.”

“Other magazines, including Star, contacted us when presented with these photographs and refused to publish them,” she said. “Kevin and I thank those other magazines for respecting our rights of privacy.”

Replied Us Weekly: “Coming from a celebrity who sold pictures of both her wedding and her stepdaughter, it’s unlikely the issue here is privacy.

“Could it be that Britney is seeing red after not seeing the green from these photos?”

New Debbie, same old tiff

Eighties pop music sensation Debbie “Shake Your Love” Gibson says she’s still hotter than her longtime rival, Tiffany – and the March issue of Playboy is proof.

“Tiffany’s Playboy pictorial a few years ago was very raw, while mine is more theatrical and stylized glitz and glamour,” says the 34-year-old Gibson.

Not surprisingly, Gibson – who has since carved out a Broadway career as Deborah – is timing the pictorial to the release of her new pop-rock single, aptly titled “Naked.”

Weisz gives Playboy the brushoff

Speaking of Playboy, “Constantine” co-star Rachel Weisz says she turned down an offer to appear nude because she doesn’t like how the magazine airbrushes its models.

“I thought about it for a good second, I really did,” she says. “I imagined it.

“They do have quite serious pieces in their magazine. They have proper journalism. Their retouching is just not sexy, is it?”

Tell us about Hef again, grandma

Carmen Electra, meanwhile, has no qualms whatsoever about having posed for Playboy three times.

“It’s a part of history,” she says. “When I’m older and look back on it, I’ll probably think, `Wow, that’s cool, being in Playboy.’ “

More stork on the menu for Nic

Actor Nicolas Cage and his wife, Alice, are expecting their first child.

The couple married last July. It was the third marriage for Cage, 41, who has a son from a previous relationship, and the first for his new wife, whom he met at a Los Angeles restaurant where she was working as a waitress.

Hello, ‘American Bridal’

“American Idol” first-season runner-up Kimberley Locke has announced that she’s engaged to marry her high school sweetheart after dating on and off for 10 years.

No wedding date has been set yet.

“I’m going to take the time to order every wedding magazine and book ever published,” said Locke, 27, who is working on a new album.
