Janet Jackson says she is not a mother. In a terse statement released Wednesday, the 39-year-old singer denied a former brother-in-law’s claim that she has a “secret” 18-year-old daughter.

“I do not have a child, and all allegations saying so are false,” Jackson said in a statement released to the syndicated “Access Hollywood” TV show.

Young DeBarge, the brother of Jackson’s ex-husband, James DeBarge, claims Jackson and his brother had a child named Renee who is living with Rebbie Jackson, Janet’s oldest sister.

“James and the Jackson family kept everything real close, real tight,” Young DeBarge said.

A manager for James DeBarge said the singer would not comment.

Jackson and James DeBarge, a singer in the former R&B family group DeBarge, were married for three months in 1984, when Jackson was 18.

Afterward, she secretly married Rene Elizondo Jr. in 1991, and they separated in 1999. She is now dating Jermaine Dupri, also rumored to be her husband.

Must be in his DNA

Rapper/actor DMX faces 60 days in prison after pleading guilty to violating the conditions of his release following an airport car crash last year.

DMX (aka Earl Simmons) pleaded guilty last December to reckless endangerment for smashing his sport utility vehicle into a gate at Kennedy Airport in June 2004, after telling a parking lot attendant he was a federal agent.

He was sentenced to a conditional discharge, meaning further violations within a year could land him in jail. Since then, he has been cited twice for traffic violations, including an accident involving an unmarked police car.

Guess Nicollette’s desperate again

Nicollette Sheridan, who plays Edie Britt on the hit TV series “Desperate Housewives,” and Swedish actor Niklas Soderblom have called off their engagement.

It would have been the second marriage for Sheridan, 41, who was wed to Harry Hamlin from 1991-93.

Camilla in like Di, with diamonds

Brits are abuzz after Camilla, Duchess of Cornwell, was spotted wearing a diamond tiara Tuesday at a royal banquet in honor of the king and queen of Norway.

It was the first time the former Camilla Parker Bowles had worn a tiara since her marriage to Prince Charles in April, a signal of her further acceptance into the royal family. The tiara was loaned to her by Queen Elizabeth II.

“Resplendent in diamonds, the Duchess of Cornwall last night staked her place as the second lady of the land,” The Daily Mail reported.

Ol’ blue eyes is back – from the grave

A virtual Frank Sinatra will star in a show in London’s West End, seven years after his death, producers announced Wednesday.

The show uses restored, colorized home movies of Sinatra from the 1950s, projected onto screens. Dancers and a live orchestra will accompany the films.

“It’s as if you are watching the concert because you are seeing footage of him in his prime, heard as if he is performing in front of you,” said the singer’s granddaughter, A.J. Azzarto, adding: “It’s not at all ghostly in any way.”
