The Spokesman-Review

The Sacred Heart Women’s Show, which takes place this weekend, mixes health professionals, beauty experts and plenty of entertainment and freebies.

“It’s really to get information to women about health and beauty,” says Sherry Maughan, director of the hospital’s Women’s Health Center.

Speakers include diet-book author Anne Louise Gittleman, heart-health expert Amy Doneen and golf pro Patti Marquis. There will be a fashion show, model search and live piano music from Portland pianist Charles Suniga.

Proceeds raised from the second-annual event will go toward purchasing new digital mammography equipment for the Women’s Health Center Coach that travels throughout the region.

The Sacred Heart Women’s Show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Spokane Convention Center.

Admission is $5; children under 12 will be admitted free.
