Comfort Foods: Fruit with cherry atop
An old-time salad with a healthy makeover for your Easter table.
Cherry Fruit Salad
1 (20-ounce) can no sugar added cherry pie filling
1/2 cup granular sugar substitute
1 cup lite non-dairy whipped topping
1 cup (1 medium) diced banana
1 (8-ounce) can pineapple tidbits, packed in fruit juice, drained
1 cup miniature marshmallows
In a large glass bowl, combine cherry pie filling, sugar substitute and lite whipped topping. Add banana and pineapple. Mix gently to combine. Fold in marshmallows. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Gently stir again just before serving. Serves 8.
