Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Heloise: Since I am trying to watch my weight, one of my favorite snacks is popcorn. Of course, I love the butter flavor, but that isn’t always the best choice.

I have found that you can use all kinds of things to season it. A couple of neat things I have found are dry dressing mixes and seasoned salts. They are delicious on the popcorn. – Karen L. from Illinois

Yummy! I’m heading to the microwave right now to fix some popcorn. You also can use herb-blend seasonings, taco or chili seasonings, grated cheese or even Parmesan. Have you ever wanted to make salt-free or seasoning salt at home? Well, now is your chance. Send for my popular four-page pamphlet packed with many seasoning recipes and some handy substitutions that will save you a trip to the store. To receive a copy of the pamphlet, please send $3 and a long, self-addressed, stamped (63 cents) envelope to: Heloise/SSS, P.O. Box 795001, San Antonio, TX 78279-5001. Heloise
