That Sunday Open House visit can sell a home

One of the oldest traditions in the real estate industry is the Open House on Sunday afternoons. Some say that this tradition is too old to make a difference for the owner. However, it has always sold many homes on the market because sometimes the person who sees a home ends up buying the home because he or she fell in love with it.

Some say that this will hardly ever happen. However, many of the homes purchased are by buyers interested in just taking a look.

It is true that many of the Sunday lookers never end up by purchasing the home. However, it is also true that the buyers would have never found just what they were looking for.

Exposure like an Open House may be the reason the right people have found the right home for their needs. One cannot tell what is in a home they have never seen from the inside. A Sunday Open can often be the reason the home was sold fast.

Another value to the Open House is those who are curious about the home have a close-up look at the place. This may be just the home they will purchase.

One of the blessings of the Sunday Open House is that there is no need to make an appointment. This alone makes it easier for the home to be shown. And, once it is shown on a Sunday, there will be many more chances for the home to be noticed and cause it to be quickly sold.

Sometimes it is an inconvenience for the owners, but it is an opportunity to hold an Open House. It is also an opportunity for the prospective buyers out there to walk through the house and possibly fall in love with it. That “walk through” could bring together some of the magic that makes the home a special place for that special person. You will not know if you don’t take the time to look and see if it has magic.

Does it have a spacious pantry, a gourmet kitchen, or a bathroom big enough for two, or deck that looks on a space of quiet solitude, or rooms that are perfect for fast growing teenagers or the master bedroom with a special library, etc. You just will not see any of these if you don’t go to a free Open House.

These are things that may not be listed in the ad. But, you will not see any of what could be “that perfect house for the buyer” unless you take the time in looking at the home you might have fallen in love with.
