What you need to know about the Antiques roadshow

The Spokesman-Review

The Antiques Roadshow is here. If you’re one of the 6,000 ticket holders headed to the Spokane Convention Center today with an expected 12,000 items for appraisal, here are some final tips:

Park and Ride. Spokane Transit is running shuttles to the event at the Spokane Convention Center. For more information go to www.spokanetransit.com or call (509) 328-RIDE (7433.)

Note the time. Most tickets to the Antiques Roadshow list a specific time. Don’t be late. But don’t try to get in early. The schedule is strict. It’s advised to arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before your assigned time.

Unload. Antiques Roadshow will be located in the Group Health Exhibit Halls. The drop-off area is located off Spokane Falls Boulevard in front of the convention center

Get in line. Roadshow rules say that everyone waits in line. There are a few chairs available but if standing for long periods of time is an issue, you might want to bring a wheelchair or portable seat.

Can I get a little help? Short answer: No. If you’re bringing furniture or exceptionally heavy items, you might want to bring a furniture dolly or wheeled cart.

Where can I get a ticket? Tickets were distributed via a lottery weeks ago. If you don’t have one by now, you’re out of luck.
