Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Heloise: Never can find those flimsy little receipts from gasoline stations for a double-check?

Hint: Fold them in a manner so that only brand, date and amounts show, and tape it to the correct date on your calendar. When bills arrive, just compare and pluck them off. You’ll know what’s still outstanding at one glance.

Also, total all purchases monthly and write the sum in the right corner of your calendar. Maybe those figures will inspire you to plan your trips to the supermarkets more economically. – Peter in California

With the price of gasoline these days, it is very important to check your billing, and this is a good record of gallons used and how much you paid per gallon. Heloise
