Go Red for Women Luncheon

Fifth annual event sponsored by the American Heart Association, Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital, and Holy Family Hospital. The event helps empower and educate women about their risk for heart disease and stroke. Activities include a silent auction, informative breakout sessions, a dynamic keynote speaker and a heart-healthy lunch. Benefits the American Heart Association.

Art on the Edge mARTi gras

Winter Blues Festival with blues artists from across the Northwest at four intimate venues inside Coeur d’Alene Resort. Proceeds benefit the Art on the Edge, a nonprofit organization operated through St. Vincent de Paul that offers free art classes to area youths.

2008 Miss Spokane Scholarship Pageant

“Living the Dream” is the theme for the talent and beauty pageant to choose the 2008-2009 Miss Spokane. The winner will serve as an official city hostess. The pageant provides the young women chosen with scholarships to further their personal and professional goals.

IEL Bowl for Literacy

Play three games with prizes for best team uniform, best team and best individual scores. Proceeds to go to the Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation Basic Skills Scholarship fund, which pays for GED students’ tuition and testing fees.
