The Slice

The Spokesman-Review

File this under “Opposites attract.”

South Hill resident Georgette Weech has a friend named Bonnie.

Weech calls her “vertically challenged” because Bonnie is 4 feet 9 inches tall.

Bonnie’s husband, Phillip, is 6 feet 9 inches. Yes, 2 feet taller than his wife.

So when it came to living together, the couple devised an innovative interior design concept – a step up, you might say.

“Each room’s décor included a stool which was strategically placed right by its doorway,” said Weech. “That way, Phillip would not begin developing a hunchback and Bonnie wouldn’t have to subject herself to whiplash every time they wanted to hug or kiss.”
