‘Bones’ seeks serial killer, ‘House’ tries to help in finales

Mike Hughes Gannett News Service

Tonight’s must-see

“Bones” and “House” season finales, 8 and 9 p.m., Fox.

Last week’s brilliant “House” left us in limbo.

Recovering from a bus accident, Dr. House had only shards of memory. Still, he felt he’d seen signs of someone dying.

By the end of the hour, he felt that Amber – his enemy, Wilson’s lover – was the person. Now he tries to help.

That follows a “Bones” centering on the Gormogon serial killer. If rumors – which we won’t repeat – are true, this will pack a wallop.

Tonight’s must-see II

“Dancing With the Stars,” 8 p.m., ABC.

Marissa Winokur’s strong run is over now. She finished fourth; now the final three celebrities get their last chance.

Two are prime athletes – Olympic skating champion Kristi Yamaguchi and football star Jason Taylor. They face actor Cristian de la Fuente, with a winner announced Tuesday.

Other choices include

“Gossip Girl” season-finale, 8 p.m., CW. This show usually focuses on teens, but now their elders get some attention. Lily (Kelly Rutherford), Blake’s mom, is entering a marriage of convenience with Bart Bass. The wedding could be hectic.

“The Big Bang Theory,” 8 p.m., CBS. This terrific series wraps up its first season with Leonard finally getting a chance to date Penny. He rehearses with his friends, none of them socially adept.

“How I Met Your Mother,” 8:30 p.m., CBS. After a brush with death, Ted re-thinks his relationship with Stella.

“Two and a Half Men,” 9 p.m., CBS. In a good episode last week, Charlie fell for Angie (Susan Blakely), who writes relationship books and is much older than he is. Now come complications: Alan likes Angie, too … and Charlie may have dawdled with her daughter.

“The Bachelorette” season-opener, 9:02 p.m., ABC. Earlier this season, “The Bachelor” hit its low point. After dating 25 bright and beautiful women, Brad Womack didn’t want any of them. Now one of his final two rejects, DeAnna Pappas, takes over. So far, women have been better at mate-picking.
