One dead in North Idaho logging accident

A man died in a logging accident near Harrison this morning, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.
Initial reports indicated a tree had fallen on the man near Burma Road and Emerald Drive, east of Lake Coeur d’Alene.
The accident was reported at 8:40 a.m., and investigators remained on scene as of this afternoon. The victim’s name is being withheld until family is notified.
