Garth Brooks is back.

“We’re going to take the retirement roof off over our head, and I already feel taller,” the 47-year-old country superstar said Thursday.

Brooks said he has no immediate plans and will see how things go in the coming years.

“As for touring, if I can’t eat it, sleep it, breathe it, then it ain’t me,” he said.

Brooks retired in 2000 to spend more time with his three children. He has popped up in special appearances at awards shows and charity events, but mostly stayed out of the limelight.

Brooks’ last studio album, “Scarecrow,” was released in 2001, the same year he divorced his first wife. In 2005 he married country star Trisha Yearwood.

Fox trots to the bank

“Transformers” star Megan Fox is pulling down a seven-figure payday to model Armani underwear and jeans.

The 23-year-old will be the new face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans in 2010, the Milan-based fashion house announced Wednesday.

Most endorsement deals pay celebrities $500,000 to $2 million per year. Fox will make toward the upper end, a source familiar with the deal said.

He’s still number one

Cyndi Lauper is mourning the death of professional wrestler “Captain” Lou Albano.

Albano’s fame skyrocketed when he appeared in Lauper’s 1983 “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” video, playing her dad.

She says he took her up the charts “from 10, to 5, to 4 to 1, to minus 5 and back up to 1 again.”
