Your Week: a guide to navigating the days ahead
» YOUR HEALTH
Don’t want to turn into a potato this TV season? Try watching while sitting on a stability ball. These large, inflatable balls help improve balance and posture and work abdominal muscles – as opposed to the couch, which does nothing for you.

» YOUR HOME
If crab grass has plagued your lawn this summer, make a note to deal with it early next spring. It will die naturally in a few weeks, but the seeds will generate new plants in 2011. Keep flower heads mowed to reduce the seed set now, and tackle the weed in April with a pre-emergent herbicide that will prevent germination. Corn gluten can be used as an organic control.

» YOUR FOOD
Need a quick fix for dinner tonight? A no-fuss pasta primavera takes advantage of the late-summer vegetable harvest in a healthy, hearty way. For the recipe, see page C5.
