Spokane Area Weight Loss Challenge – 12-week nonprofit course offers tips on nutrition and exercise along with the flair of competition. Cost is $40 for the 12-week program. Southside Senior Activity Center “Aging Well” Classes – Meditation 101: While meditating in the stillness of silence, we are free to experience inner peace, improve well-being, cope with stress, find lasting joy, develop loving relationships, and appreciate each other and life. Tuesdays, Jan. 25-March 1, 4-5 p.m. Cost is $35. Reiki: Class provides an overview of this ancient Japanese healing art and how it works on healing the body, mind and spirit. The Chakras: The Wheels of Life: Dr. Charles Lightwalker will discuss how chakras are classified as healing centers, power centers, and part of the healing practices of many traditions. Southside Senior Activity Exercise Classes – Balance and Agility: Class designed for those who need additional help with balance and control and also helps improve the way they walk. Held Fridays, Jan.7-Feb. 11, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Pilates/Yoga Blend: A blend of Pilates and yoga to improve strength, flexibility, balance, stamina and grace.
