Community members are encouraged to help “Fill the Boat for Foster Kids” by bringing an item to donate and toss in the boat at the Sons of Norway. Requested donations are backpacks, school supplies, toys, and gift cards for retail stores such as WalMart, Target or Fred Meyer, as well as monetary donations to pay for summer activities for foster kids. July 30, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., will feature food, live music and a variety of vendors selling unique items at discount prices. Monroe Street Pub Crawl - People age 21 and older are encouraged to try and make it through a 3.5-mile course to all 11 pubs involved to become a member of the ‘Hall of Champions.’ Several bars offer specials to those involved in the crawl.
