Carnival Community Block Party - Second annual event hosted by Royal Plaza Retirement Center and Lilac Plaza Terrace Retirement Communities. For all ages. Carnival games, Clydesdale hayrides 3:30-6 p.m., food, live entertainment, water slide, bounce castles, petting zoo, bingo, face painting and more. Up on the Roof - A Taste of Unity - This is an evening to raise money for more than 500-plus bags of school supplies that will be given away at the 18th annual Unity in the Community celebration. 2012 Pend Oreille River Garden Tour and Dinner - Tour includes: childrens areas, vegetable gardens, water features, a fish farm, perennial beds, fruit trees, live music and local crafters. Make reservations for the dinner following the tour in one of the gardens. Tour is from 1-4:30 p.m.; dinner is at 5 p.m. Sunday. 20th Annual Raspberry Festival - All-day event features activities for the whole family including a pancake breakfast, raspberry shortcake, jam and products, barbecue beef sandwiches, an arts and crafts fair, live music, a children’s carnival, hand-crafting demonstrations, a fun run/walk, chapel tours, museum visits and more.
