Couple Gets Engaged at Republication National Convention

From the Twitter account of ABC News’ Jonathan Karl comes this photo from the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla. The AP reports reports the happy couple are Bradley Thomson, a 32-year-old production manager for the RNC, and his new fiancée, Laura Bowman, 27. This morning Thomson brought Bowman onto the convention stage, which featured photos of the couple and their dog, then dropped to one knee proposed. Bowman - she said yes - claims she was surprised but knew something was up: “I thought there was something fishy when he said that there was a sound problem, because there never is,” Bowman said.
