Obituary: Kelly, Merle Vern

KELLY, Merle Vern (Age 87) Passed away on December 21, 2014 in Spokane, WA after a brief illness.

He was born on October 1, 1927 in Tekoa, WA to Dale and Lillian Kelly and soon moved to Spokane at an early age.

Merle is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Beverly; also survived by his three children, Danny Kelly, Merle J. Kelly and April Peterman; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Merle joined the U.S. Army at age 18 and served in occupation Germany as well as the Korean Conflict.

He retired from Kaiser Aluminum, Mead Plant in 1984.

A service for Merle will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA.
