Fresh Sheet: Cheese making; Faith and Values dinner; wine tastings

Trish Hutchins of Spokane’s Family Farm will be teaching cheese-making workshops at On Sacred Grounds Coffee Shop.

Hutchins will demonstrate how to make farmer cheese and cheddar cheese using milk from her farm. Each two-hour class includes one gallon of milk, your choice of pastry and a custom beverage, plus the how-to.

Classes cost $30 and take place at 10 a.m. and 1 and 4 p.m. April 2 at the shop, 12212 E. Palouse Highway, Valleyford.

Faith feast

The second annual progressive dinner organized by Spokane Faith and Values will be March 30. Tickets are on sale now.

The dinner raises funds for the nonprofit, online publication dedicated to faith and values news in Spokane.

The meal begins at 4 p.m. with Japanese appetizers at the Spokane Buddhist Temple. Then, guests will travel up the street to Temple Beth Shalom for a kosher entrée, followed by a dessert buffet at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ South Hill Stake.

Suggested donation prices for tickets are $50 per person or $80 for a pair.

Total tastings
