Suspicious activity report leads to arrest in stolen vehicle
Spokane police officers arrested a man in a stolen car after a woman called in a report of suspicious activity.
The woman told police that several men she didn’t know rang her doorbell just after 3:15 a.m. Thursday. She said they pounded on her front door and eventually left in a vehicle.
Her description of the vehicle matched a stolen vehicle that had been reported Wednesday.
A K-9 officer spotted the vehicle driving erratically and tried to put down a spike strip, but the driver was able to go around it. After a brief pursuit, the vehicle became high-centered at South Koren Road and East Eastwood Avenue and had to stop.
Police arrested Nicholas Anstine, 18, a passenger in the car, on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and attempting to elude police. A minor who was driving the car was also arrested.
