Pilgrim’s Market Crop Mob is looking for volunteers – 16 and older only, please – to help a local organic farmer with harvest.

Lunch will be provided by the market. The work party takes place from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, but RSVPs are required by today. Call the market at (208) 676-9730.

Volunteers can meet at – then carpool or drive from – the market, 1316 N. Fourth St. in Coeur d’Alene to Pokey Creek Farm, 3234 Pokey Creek Road, in Santa, Idaho.

Grocery Outlet

The new Spokane Valley Grocery Outlet store celebrates its grand opening from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 12115 E. Sprague Ave.

The event features free coffee and complimentary eco-friendly grocery bags and other treats while supplies last. Customers can also meet husband-and-wife owner-operators Dan and Rebekah Sulja and enter to win a drawing that will take place Oct. 25. Prizes include free groceries for a year, electric cruiser bikes and waterpark passes.

The fourth Grocery Outlet in the Spokane area, the store will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. following Saturday’s celebration.
