“Saran Wrap Bandits” identified by Shoshone County deputies

From staff reports
Shoshone County deputies have identified three boys believed to be the “Saran Wrap Bandits” who were stretching Saran Wrap across Interstate 90 in late March. The Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that the trio admitted to stretching plastic wrap across the highway on March 21. They told deputies they’d heard about a similar prank about a year ago and wanted to recreate it. KREM reported at least one vehicle was seriously damaged after hitting the Saran Wrap. The boys told deputies they were not involved in a second incident on March 22. They said they just wanted to play a practical joke and didn’t intend to hurt anybody. A restitution request for damage to the vehicle will be sent to the Shoshone County Prosecutor, the release said.
