Spokane Police have arrested an 18-year-old in connection with the shooting of a man near the area of 13th Avenue and Grand Boulevard on Spokane’s South Hill Tuesday night. Diandre R. Johnson was booked into the Spokane County Jail Wednesday on a charge of first-degree attempted murder (with robbery). He will make his first appearance in court Thursday. The victim entered the 7-Eleven on South Grand shortly before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and told employees that he’d been shot. The wound to his upper back was non-life threatening. “This is not believed to be a random robbery and assault,” said police spokeswoman Monique Cotton. “We do believe Diandre was the shooter.” Police are still searching for a second person believed to have been involved in the shooting. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
