Obituary: Hall, Virginia Ruth
Age 99
Virginia was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 25, 1916, the daughter of Robert and Cora (Parrish) Seney.
In 1920 Virginia’s family moved from Missouri to Adams County, WA.
Three years later, the family moved to the Arden area and Virginia attended school in the one room schoolhouse in Arden.
She graduated from Colville High School in 1933 as Valedictorian of her class.
Soon after graduation, she attended Kinman Business School in Spokane.
Virginia married Harvey Hall on September 14, 1935 in Arden.
She began working as a secretary for Attorney Delbert Scoles.
She then began a career at the U.S. Forest Service where she retired in 1978.
After retirement, she did bookwork for the Arden Mercantile, which she and her husband owned, until they sold the business.
In 1986 Harvey passed away, at which time Virginia moved to Colville, then to her daughter’s home in Deer Park.
In 1999 she made her home at Parkview Assisted Living for thirteen years.
While living at Parkview, she performed some of the secretarial duties there, and finally settled in at Providence St. Joseph’s Long Term Care for the last three years.
Virginia had many talents and throughout the years, she spent time honing her embroidery and ceramic skills and produced many wonderful gifts for her friends and family.
She was also an avid book reader and enjoyed teasing her mind with crossword puzzles.
She even took time to go with Harvey on the occasional fishing adventure.
Virginia’s kind, gentle and loving character was very active throughout her entire life.
She was a friend to nearly everyone she met and never expressed any negativity about anyone.
She greatly enjoyed the time she got to spend with her family and was the highlight of every family event.
Virginia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
