Pharmacy robbed in Coeur d’Alene

A man who robbed the Medicine Man pharmacy at 1114 Ironwood Drive in Coeur d’Alene Saturday morning didn’t exactly get what he bargained for. The man entered the pharmacy at 11 a.m. and put a black snub-nose .38 caliber handgun with a wooden handle on the counter and demanded the narcotic oxycontin, according to a Coeur d’Alene Police Department press release. However, the pharmacy does not stock oxycontin and the employee handed over some diazepam, a medication used to treat anxiety and seizures. He was last seen running south through parking lots toward Northwest Boulevard. He is described as a white man in his early 20’s, about 6 feet all and about 220 pounds. He had black medium length hair and was wearing a brown fedora style hat, large frame women’s sunglasses, tan cargo shorts and a long sleeve light blue shirt with white strips on the front. He also had white ear buds in his ears. Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the robber is asked to call (208) 769-2320.
