‘Glee’ bids farewell after six entertaining seasons

“Glee” series finale: OK, so this sixth season has been one brutally hot mess. But we’ll still pay our respects to a groundbreaking series that not only brought song and dance to prime time, but gave a shout out to arts in our schools and delivered messages of tolerance. The show bids farewell with a two-hour curtain call that looks at how the original gang came to the glee club, and then flashes forward five years to see where life has taken them. 8 p.m. Friday, Fox.

SUNDAY: “The Jinx: The Life and Times of Robert Durst” ends its highly intriguing six-episode run with one last look at the enigmatic millionaire scion who has been accused, but never convicted, of three murders. 8 p.m., HBO.
SUNDAY: “I Hate Christian Laettner” is the provocative title of the latest “30 for 30” sports documentary. It’s a fascinating look at the polarizing basketball standout who took Duke to four straight Final Fours. 6 p.m., ESPN.
MONDAY: Break out the sequins and spray tans. “Dancing With the Stars” kicks off its 20th season tonight with a cast that includes Suzanne Somers, Patti LaBelle, Michael Sam and Rumer Willis. 8 p.m., ABC.
TUESDAY: The new supernatural drama, “iZombie,” promises to bring some humor to the genre. Rose McIver stars as a young woman, who after joining the undead, secretly munches on brains at the local morgue where she works, while also solving murder cases. 9 p.m., The CW.
TUESDAY: Elisha Cuthbert returns to TV in the sitcom “One Big Happy.” She plays a lesbian named Lizzy who plans to have a baby with her best pal, Luke (Nick Zano). Complications arise when he falls for Prudence (Kelly Brook), a free-spirited British bombshell. 9:30 p.m., NBC.
WEDNESDAY: What will we do without our Cookie (Taraji P. Henson)? “Empire,” the TV blockbuster of 2015, wraps up its first season with a two-hour finale that promises several guest stars and some shocking twists, to which we say: Bring it! 8 p.m., Fox.
THURSDAY: “American Idol” finally gets down to its Top 10, but not before a couple more wannabe pop stars get the boot at the beginning of tonight’s two-hour edition. 8 p.m., Fox.
THURSDAY: Oh, this could get ugly. On “Scandal,” a woman seeks to expose the sex secrets of Washington aristocracy. Better get Olivia (Kerry Washington) on it right away. 9 p.m., ABC.
FRIDAY: The Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff hosts the “2015 mtvU Woodie Awards,” an annual gala celebrating the favorite music of college students. The event airs from the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. 9 p.m., MTV.
SATURDAY: On “Good Witch,” Cassie’s (Catherine Bell) distant cousin Abigail (Sarah Power) returns to town and turns on her impish charm, which captivates Sam and Grace (James Denton, Bailee Madison). Cassie, however, is not amused. 8 p.m., Hallmark.
