Obituary: Robinson, Agnes M.
Age 94
Agnes was born October 19, 1920.
She was the only child of Walter and Linda Verna McCormick.
Agnes was honored as valedictorian of the 1938 Oakesdale High School senior class.
She met her future husband, Ben E. Robinson, at a Grange dance.
They married November 17, 1938 in Spokane.
Agnes and Ben farmed in the Garfield-Elberton area until their retirement and moved to Colfax in 1981.
They were married 60 years.
Ben died in 1999.
Agnes then moved to Endicott for four years and then to Garfield Ladow Court Assisted Living for four years.
Since 2008 she has called Considerate Care her “home” and her loving caregivers “family”.
Agnes was a member of Ladow Grange and Silver Creek Women’s Club.
Agnes loved the Palouse Hills, sunsets, and a panoramic view of Steptoe Butte from her living room window.
She owned a green thumb and each year canned hundreds of jars of produce.
Family meals were always delicious.
Pies and cakes were works of art.
Being left handed, she sat in front of a mirror to teach herself to crochet.
Many projects were prizewinners at the fair.
Her penmanship was beautiful and perfect.
Agnes is survived by her children: Melvin (Marge) Robinson, Palouse, WA; Ronald (Marlene) Robinson, Delta Junction, AK; Linda (Cormac) Thompson, Prosser, WA; Shirley (Robert) Morasch, Endicott, WA; and Jerry Robinson, Garfield, WA; nine grandchildren: Barry, Scott, Aaron, Cory, Alicia, John, Kim, Laura and Jeanine; 11 great-grandchildren: Troy, Heidi, Shelby, Brooks, Talon, Belle, Jace, Riley, Noelle, Hadley and August.
Agnes always smiled when remembering her “Chicks” and they will do the same when remembering her.
Agnes and Ben will always be greatly missed.
Private family burial plans are being made.
Remembrances of Agnes may be made to the Whitman Hospital Foundation in Colfax, Ladow Court Assisted Living in Garfield or Considerate Care Adult Family Home in Palouse.
KRAMER FUNERAL HOME, Palouse, WA handled the arrangements.
