Age 95
HECHT, James Vernon Was born June 17, 1919, to Lavinia Bessie MacDonald and Charles Henry Hecht, and passed from this life on February 13, 2015.
He was born and raised in Rockford, Washington, living on the homestead until his late 80s.
Vern, as he was called by friends and family, had many interests, belonging to Gentlemen on Horseback and The Cattlemen’s Association, in which he held office.
He loved travel, auctions, antiques, reading and photography.
He was also a member of the Rockford Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School, and of Plummer Assembly of God.
Vern was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Hughena House and Lois Claasen.
He is survived by his wife Theresa, and his nephew Kelly Rhoads and his wife Sherry.
