Obituary: Amestoy, Lyndon (Aka Lyn)
He would want little fanfare about himself and would say, “Keep it simple, keep it sweet.”
Here goes: Born to Fred Amestoy and Helen Amestoy Robbins in Glasgow, MT on July 9, 1954, it was in Missoula, MT that he had spent most of his life.
He graduated Sentinel High School in 1973, married Charleene Forsythe on November 9, 1974 and began his family.
His exposure to flying began very early in life and flourished with each mile and experience.
He obtained his license at the age of 22.
His career in sales lead him from ranch and farm products to power tools, to new technology in personal computers and finally to his love, aviation through the work at Rocket Engineering at Felts Field in Spokane.
He was a man of character and dealt in priorities, i.e.
family came first.
A beloved husband, a father and confidant to his three sons, C.J., Christopher, and Sean, and daughter, Lynzee, and well loved and hugged grandfather {Papa} to Conner and Faith Amestoy, Haylee Crowther and Kacee Munroe, Ethan Amestoy, and Amber Andersen.
He will be deeply mourned and missed.
He is also survived by his mother, Helen Robbins and sister, Heather Johnson, who reside in Nashua, MT, son-in-law, Jerry Munroe and daughter-in-law, Listy Amestoy.
He was a man who was generous with his time and efforts, who knew how to laugh and when to listen.
There has been a memorial set up through the Wells Fargo Banks.
