Obituary: Crockett, Edward L. “Chuck”
Age 84
Chuck was born outside of Rosalia, WA, on June 6, 1931.
He attended Waverly Grade School and then Latah High School.
He graduated in 1949.
Chuck served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954 during the Korean War.
When he returned, he farmed near Latah for many years.
He then worked for Saunders and Ott/St.
John Hardware until retirement.
He was an active member in VFW Post #7815 and Post #1435.
He was Mayor of Latah for more then 16 years.
He was also a member of the Waverly Masons.
He married CarolLee “Kelly” Hoffman on November 22, 1957; and is survived by Kelly, his wife of 57 years; daughter, Lynne Foresman of Vancouver WA; son, Carl of Mt.
Home; Diane of Monterey CA; sisters: Dolores Lindhag, Dorothy Bothman and Donna Kjack; numerous grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by son Doug of IN and Aunt Margery Teal.
Memorial maybe made to Latah Country Bible Church.
Services will be held Friday May 22nd at 10:00am at the Latah Country Bible Church; and a reception at the Latah School House.
