Sounders’ Chad Marshall diagnosed with neck sprain
Seattle Sounders defender Chad Marshall was released from the hospital a day after suffering a neck sprain in practice. The Sounders announced Marshall’s diagnosis Thursday. The 2014 MLS Defender of the Year was injured during practice on Wednesday after colliding with a teammate and hitting his head on the ground during a drill. Marshall, 31, was attended to by team medical personnel before being taken away in an ambulance. The team said Marshall underwent tests at Virginia Mason Medical Center. Late Wednesday Marshall tweeted that the tests were good and that he was feeling OK. – Associated Press
