Author Judy Schachner - Reading and book signing of her new book, “Dewey Bob,” about a raccoon who lives by himself in a house filled to the brim with the wonderful objects he collects. Cowboy Poetry - Cowboy poetry is a traditionally rhymed and open-ended verse, based on what was a western way of life but updated into today’s world. Spokane Poetry Slam - Spokane Poetry Slam is competitive performance poetry. Poets have three minutes to present their original work without costumes, props or musical accompaniment. Audience judges chosen at random score the poem and the highest cumulative score after two rounds of poetry wins the $50 grand prize.
