Empire sign defensive lineman Donte Rumph
The Spokane Empire signed defensive lineman Donte Rumph before the IFL playoffs roster freeze, which went into effect on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Rumph (6-4, 320) joins the Empire for his first season as a member of the IFL. Before joining the Empire, Rumph spent time as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons following the 2014 NFL Draft. During his collegiate career at Kentucky, Rumph was a three-year starter where he recorded 126 total tackles and seven sacks.
The Empire placed defensive lineman D.J. Yendrey on the season ending injured reserve list.
