Tedder Industries LLC, which makes gun holsters in Post Falls, is a finalist in two categories for the 2017 Idaho Innovation Awards.

Tedder Industries is a finalist for the innovative company of the year award. The company’s ShapeShift Modular Holster System is a contender for consumer product of the year.

Winners will be announced at the Idaho Technology Council “Hall of Fame” meeting October 24 in Boise.

Tedder Industries makes holsters under the Alien Gear Holsters brand. Owner Thomas Tedder started the company in 2010 at his kitchen table.

Tedder Industries has staked its reputation on high-quality, affordable, made-in-the-U.S.A. products, Tedder said during a 2016 interview.

“I don’t do any manufacturing in China,” Tedder said, “and I try not to use any parts from China.”

Last year, the company bought the Post Falls outlet mall, consolidating its operations from several other locations in North Idaho.

Tedder Industries employs about 200 people and expects to hire about 60 more before the end of the year.
