Softball roundup: Logan Krantz hits home run, adds three RBIs, Cheney stays on top of GNL

Logan Krantz doubled and homered with three RBIs and Cheney (14-1, 7-1) defeated visiting Pullman (1-15, 0-8) 19-0 on Saturday in the first game of a Great Northern League doubleheader.

Cheney 20, Pullman 7 (Gm 2): Kyla Olson drove in four runs with two hits and the Blackhawks (15-1, 8-1) downed the visiting Greyhounds (1-16, 0-9).

Northeast 2B

Kettle Falls 16, Reardan 4 (Gm 1): Ali Trenkle scored four runs and had three RBIs and the Bulldogs (11-8, 7-2) downed the visiting Indians (2-13, 1-10).

Kettle Falls 12, Reardan 2 (Gm 2): Megan Hippler drove in four runs with a single and a home run and the Bulldogs (12-8, 8-2) stopped the visiting Indians (2-14, 1-10).

Southeast 1B

Colton 10, Pomeroy 2 (Gm 1): Abby Kelley went 3 for 5 with two doubles and two RBIs and the visiting Wildcats (13-1, 7-0) defeated the Pirates (10-5, 6-3).

Colton 8, Pomeroy 4 (Gm 2): Josie Schultheis went 2 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs and the visiting Wildcats (14-1, 8-0) beat the Pirates (10-6, 6-4).

5A Inland Empire League

Lewiston 9, Coeur d’Alene 2: Cheyenne Rose scattered seven hits, striking out nine, and the Bengals (11-6, 4-5) downed the visiting Vikings (6-13, 3-6).

Lewiston 10, Coeur d’Alene 0 (Gm 1): Cheyenne Rose twirled a two-hitter, striking out nine, and the Bengals (12-6, 5-5) blanked the visiting Vikings (6-14, 3-7).

Central Idaho League

St. Maries 31, Grangeville 9 (Gm 1): McKenna Borgman went 5 for 6 with a double, triple, five RBIs and five runs, and the visiting Lumberjacks (8-0, 4-0) beat the Bulldogs (0-8, 0-4).

St. Maries 13, Grangeville 1 (Gm 2): Devyn Wilson went 3 for 3 with a double, a homer and three RBIs, and the visiting Lumberjacks (9-0, 5-0) defeated the Bulldogs (0-9, 0-5).
