Boys basketball: Jake Wells’ 27 points helps Pullman stay undefeated with win over West Valley

Jake Wells scored 27 points and visiting Pullman (6-0 GNL) downed West Valley (5-2) 76-68 on Tuesday in a Great Northern League game.

Cletis Hydrick led the Eagles with 25.

Cheney 72, East Valley 59: Devin Cook scored 17 points and the Blackhawks (3-3 GNL) vanquished the visiting Knights (0-6). Collin Zurfluh led the East Valley with 20.

Northeast 1A

Freeman 77, Newport 72: Quin Hopkins scored 22 and the visiting Scotties (8-0 NEA) beat the Grizzlies (6-2). Danny Bradbury led Newport with 35 points.

Lakeside (WA) 70, Chewelah 67: Landon Harrington and David Smith each scored 14 points and the Eagles (5-3) defeated the visiting Cougars (4-4). Gavin Parrot paced Chewelah with 22 points.

Medical Lake 67, Riverside 42: Sam Gollehon scored 21 points and the Cardinals (4-4 NEA) beat the visiting Rams (0-8). Kory Cross led Riverside with 14 points.

Deer Park 64, Colville 31: Isaac Berglund scored 23 points and the Stags (4-4) defeated the visiting Indians (1-7). Jory Dotts led Colville with 13 points.

Liberty 77, Wilbur-Creston 57: Isaak Ottmar scored 25 points and the visiting Lancers (8-2 NE2B) rolled past the Wildcats (2-7). Blaine Bandy led the Wildcats with 16 points.
