Girls basketball: Gabi Isaak scores 19 points and Almira/Coulee-Hartline advances in 1B tourney
Gabi Isaak scored 19 points and Almira/Coulee-Hartline (19-1) downed visiting Northport (9-11) 62-40 in a District 7 1B playoff game on Wednesday.
Makenna Oliver added 18 points for Almira/Coulee-Hartline. Belle Stark scored 11 points and Isabelle Bair 10 for Northport.
Idaho 3A District 1 first round
McKeely Tonkin and Taryn Soumas scored 14 points apiece and Timberlake (19-2) beat visiting Priest River (2-18) 57-12 in a first-round game.
Karah Fink led Priest River with 10 points.
Timberlake plays Kellogg for a berth to state and Priest River faces Bonners Ferry in a loser-out game on Thursday.
Kellogg knocked off Bonners 55-31, led by Hailey Cheneyey’s 22 points.

Genesis Prep eliminated Clark Fork 56-34 and Lakeside ousted Kootenai 71-21 in first-round games at The Courts at Real Life in Post Falls. The Jaguars meet the Knights on Friday for a berth to state.
