Tuesday Video - Summer Parkways in Spokane

There are several local groups, including Futurewise, The Lands Council, City of Spokane, Spokane Regional Transportation Council (SRTC), Spokane County Commute Trip Reduction (CTR), Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD), and the YMCA-YWCA looking at feasibility of a Summer Parkways event here in Spokane.

Summer Parkways involve the closure of streets to vehicular traffic for a day or portion of a day in favor of walking, bicycling, rolling, and other non-motorized forms of transportation.Summer Parkways connect neighborhoods and people: walkers, runners, bikers, seniors, adults, and children can enjoy car-free neighborhood streets filled with a variety of activities along the route.
