“Dolores”
The PBS documentary, Dolores, directed by Peter Bratt, will be screening at 4 and 7 p.m. The film chronicles Dolores Huerta’s evolution from teenager to a key architect of the national boycott of grapes. As co-founder of the United Farm Workers of America (UFW), Huerta fought for better working conditions for farm workers. At 87, she is still active organizing people to run for office and advocating on issues of health, education, and economic development. The film features moving testimony from her children. Following the film, there will be a Q&A with the audience. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time on magiclanternonmain.com or at the door 30 minutes prior to showings.
