Spokane Obon Festival
July 21-22. Obon is an annual two-day Japanese Buddhist Cultural Festival with music, dance and Japanese food and crafts. Highlights include rice bowls, sushi, desserts, kid’s crafts, Taiko drumming at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., Bon Odori folk dancing beginning at 6 p.m. and Temple open house from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Hours are Saturday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday from 3-7 p.m. Full lineup can be found at www.spokanebuddhisttemple.org.
