Author Event: Unauthorized

March 6, 2020 - March 6, 2020

Spokane writer and editor Dennis Held has published poetry in major magazines since 1983, when he won Washington State’s Fuller Poetry Prize as an undergraduate at The Evergreen State College. After receiving his Master of Fine Arts degree in poetry from the University of Montana in 1991, he published two books: “Betting on the Night” (Lost Horse Press) and “Ourself” (Gribble Press). Through small sculptures, pictorial mash-ups and “unauthorized collaborations,” Dennis has continued to explore the physical world through a lens of delight, terror and wonder. His work has been noted by artist Merilee Tompkins for its “dire humor.”
