Summary

Taylor Eskridge allowed one run on five hits, tossing a complete game, and Ethan Jones drove in three runs late to lead host University to a 6-1 Greater Spokane League baseball victory over Rogers on Wednesday.

Eskridge struck out four without issuing a free pass for the Titans (2-0 GSL, 2-0 overall), settling down after allowing a first-inning run to the Pirates.

University tied the game in the third inning when Austin Marker stole two bases and scored on Brayden Olson's RBI single up the middle. They took the lead the next inning when Griffin McDonald led off with a double and scored from second on a bunt RBI single by Bryan Braley.

Mitchell Massie had two hits for Rogers, who fell to 0-2 in the GSL, 0-3 overall.
